The torrent Verrino, modest watercourse with the source at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, within the town limits of Capracotta, presents scenarios and wild environments that make it a rare ecosystem, well preserved and with the presence of numerous testimonies of ancients factories along the banks. The City of Capracotta had renovated an old mill, and had called the area as Parco fluviale del Verrino" (Park River verrino). The area is interesting because little further downstream begins a series of cascades of incredible beauty. Together with a friend we have managed the park for two summer seasons, but until then, Park had never been made available to visitors. Essentially the work done was to clean up the area surrounding the old mill leafy weed, and especially track and realise the path that reaches the first waterfalls: it wasn't easy, but speaking with the peasants of the place, and exploring the area We did. The second year we have of course made available a visit to the old mill to visitors, and have traced a path along the river that comes up with another series of waterfalls that are a few kilometres downstream of the old mill.
